Where was I?

Some things you miss the first time around.

U2's The Joshua Tree is one of those things.

Great album. It's a pleasure to discover classic albums like that years later, isn't it? I've had the same experience with Johnny Cash's "Live at Folsom Prison."

Doesn't say a whole lot about today's music, though.

Got you beat - just bought my first copy of Billy Joel's THE STRANGER. Where were we, Chuck? Where were we, indeed.

The sad part is, I've always associated this album cover with a "Billy and the Boingers" book by Berke Breathed...

Fantastic album.

You know - I heard that song The Stranger and really listened for the first time about 2 years ago. I friggin' LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that song. It give me chills when he whistles, and the guitar as the fast part of the song starts is awesome!

That U2 was good - Still haven't found what I'm looking for is haunting as it was popular the summer of '87 and played on the radio while I was riding around town with Paul (see post on Todd's blog for the regret).
