A split infinitive is when an adverb comes between the word "to" and the uninflected form of a verb, as in "To boldly go."
Eloquently split, friend. My favorite pooge-ism was always "aggravated" - "are you aggravated? Aggravated? then you're a pus head! because aggravated means to make worse, so you were already bad off to begin with".
My favorite, and one I still use today: "It's not a pin, it's a pen."
"Numba 1." The most dreaded two words to come from a Clemson grad's mouth.
